Reporting Crime
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has focused on crimes committed against businesses. New research has found that 58% of small businesses have suffered at least one crime in the last year. However a staggering 36% believe that reporting crime âwill achieve nothingâ. Firms reported that the main impact of crime on their businesses is rising insurance premiums as well as the anxiety and disruption it causes in the workplace.
The FSB is calling on the political parties to consider, amongst other things, a more visible police presence and 100% first year allowances for investment in security.
